Throughout
the past year, our team has worked hard to ensure
that others learned about the Solar Decathlon and
Auburn's efforts. Decathletes set up a booth at Auburn's
Camp War Eagle to provide incoming freshman with information
about our activities. We also made presentations to
a number of campus organizations.
Press
conferences and press releases were used to make local,
state and regional press aware of the project. To
date, coverage has been excellent.
During
construction, we provided tours of the home to a number
of individuals and groups including the Auburn Golden
Eagles -- Auburn alumni who graduated over 50 years
ago.
Upon
return to Auburn, plans call for the house to be set
up for permanent display and use as an educational
tool and research laboratory.
